It’s no surprise that like any favourite kitchen device, the garburator will get an odour after a while. This blog outlines quick and easy tips to get your sink smelling like new again.

Here are some great ways to clean your garbage disposal:

1) Put a few lemon or citrus slices (about half a lemon or citrus of your choice) down the disposal to refresh your drain and release some nice, DIY home air freshener.

2) Run some cold water down the garburator while it is turned on to give it a good rinse. (Always run water when using the garburator.)

3) Throw some ice cubes down the garburator and crush them to helps to dissolve and eliminate fats or other things stuck to the side of the food disposer.

4) Purchase a garbage disposal cleaning product, such as Plink. Do not use chemical cleaners or drain cleaning products in your garburator.
